The region of Kalash has based three valleys called Birir, Bumburet, and Rumbur. These valleys are located 20 miles south o Chitral. Locals are called Kalashas, who are known for their hospitality, vibrant culture, traditional dance and music. Zhoshi(12th – 16t May). Uchaw(20th – 22nd August) & Chawmos(7th – 22nd December) are the three major festivals celebrated in Kalash each year. The lowest temperature during the winters is minus 12 degrees. Snowfall usually starts in November and ends in February.

From Islamabad by Air: Chital airport is 9 minutes’ drive away from Kalash but the availability of flight depends on the weather condition.
Khunjerab pass is a high mountain pass situated in the Karakoram Mountains. Snowfall starts here at the end of October and the road condition is not good. Mostly snowfall ends at the end of month July You can visit this place during summers also.
